What is special about the place?

The Nile Basin is environmentally sensitive. Stretching from the equator to the Mediterranean, the Nile is a principal flyways for migrating birds that nest along its many marshes, lakes, and tributaries. Its wetlands, forests, and open lands are home to a broad array of flora and fauna. Its natural beauty has attracted tourists for centuries.

The Nile results from three great rivers, the White Nile, the Atbara and the Blue Nile. The Nile also provides fertile soil thus, the name Kemet which means the ‘black land’ and so, farmers will wait for the Nile to flood to nourish their crops. Hence, the Nile is a source of mineral-rich silts and water.
